Rebuilding Our Church
All inspections have been completed and we will start setting up two-thirds of the fellowship hall as a worship venue. We have acquired chancel furniture from the First UMC of Wildwood Crest with the help of former Mt. Pleasant UMC member Tom Fisher, who was the pastor there until the church recently closed and merged with the North Wildwood UMC.
Sanctuary chairs have been ordered and shipped. The chairs will arrive next Friday. We need help between 12 noon and 3 p.m. to help bring them into the building. Hattie Ayres suggested members purchase the chairs, if they choose, in honor or memory of someone, in order to make the insurance money go as far as it can for the new sanctuary. Chairs will be priced at $35.00 each. See Hattie to make your memorial gift. A like new Kwai Pian has been donated by Cedarville Baptist Church and has been delivered. Jim Hoffman of the Pancoast Funeral Home has donated a Conn Electric two manual electronic organ has also been delivered.
A time of refreshments and fellowship to preview the restored fellowship and new worship venue is scheduled for Sunday, November 13, 2016. We will have our worship service that morning at St. John Bosco and after the service go immediately to the hall for this glad occasion.
We have rescheduled the opening of the fellowship hall as a worship venue to Sunday, November 20, The Last Sunday After Pentecost or Christ the King Sunday. On Wednesday evening, November 23, 2016, at 7 p.m., the date of the 127th Anniversary of our founding, we will have special service to observe "This Day of New Beginnings."
