Dave Bailey to Speak on April 15, 2018
This Sunday, the Third Sunday of Easter, at 9:30 a.m., The Rev. David L. Bailey, host of the radio program The Wondrous Story and founder and Director of Development of Ranch Hope in Alloway, N.J., will bring the message entitled, “Our Macedonia” based on Acts 16:9-12. Darlene Solomon will be our worship leader and Joan Thomas our song leader. Our facility is handicapped accessible and seasonably air conditioned. Please join us for refreshments after the service in the fellowship area. If you would like to help with refreshments after worship there is a sign-up sheet on the kitchen counter. Rev Dave Bailey, of “The Wondrous Story” on Radio and founder of Ranch Hope is coming to Mount Pleasant Church on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. In 1964, Dave Bailey founded Ranch Hope, a home for troubled youth. For more than 50 years, Ranch Hope has helped young people and their families from throughout New Jersey and the region. For more than 57 years, Rev. Bailey has hosted various radio programs that are heard throughout the Northeast. He is a graduate of Western Maryland College with a B.A. degree. He received a Bachelor of Divinity and a Master degree of Theology from Crozier Seminary (Now Colgate Rochester Divinity School). He is an ordained Methodist minister of the Greater New Jersey Conference (retired). He was honored as Alumni of the Year 2002 by Western Maryland College. Rev. Bailey is past president of South Jersey Methodist Camp meeting Association (South Seaville, NJ). Dave was born and raised in Penns Grove, NJ and graduated from the local schools. His wife is the former Eileen Brown of Penns Grove. They have two children, Elizabeth and David, Jr. and five grandchildren. We welcome Rev. Bailey to Mount Pleasant Church. On Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 9:30 a.m., Jennifer Andrade, from the Pitman UMC, will be sharing with us about the United Methodist Mission School we are helping to support in Mexico.
The Bible study time is on Wednesdays, in room (#3/4) on the lower level at 11 a.m., with the study of the Book of Hebrews.
The Stitch Club will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. in Room #3/4 on the lower level. Anyone interested is welcome.
