Jesus The Arsonist?

This Sunday, August 18, 2019, 10th Sunday after Pentecost at 9:30 a.m., Pastor Mitchell will bring the message “Jesus the Arsonist?” based on Luke 12:49-56. Kathy Bennett will be our Worship Leader and Joan Thomas our song Leader. Our pianist will be Marilyn Watts. Special Music will be Sharron Moseley, who will be singing “His Eye Is on the Sparrow and “In the Garden Medley.

Our facility is handicapped accessible and seasonably air conditioned. Please join us following the service for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

Our Annual Church Conference is scheduled for Saturday morning, October 19, 2019, at 9 a.m. The location is 1stUMC in Millville along with 4 of the 5 other UMCs. The presiding elder for our conference will be Pastor Jin Oh of the Olivet UMC.

THERE IS A BOX FOR THE “HELP & HOPE” FOOD CLOSET LOCATED UNDER THE BULLETIN BOARD IN THE HOSPITALITY AREA. Canned goods and other non-perishables may be placed there. THERE IS ALSO A NEED FOR SOMEONE TO TRANSPORT THE FOOD ITEMS TO THE “Help and Hope” FOOD CENTER ON HOWARD STREET. THE CENTER IS OPEN TUESDAYS THROUGH THURSDAYS FROM 9 a.m. TO 12 NOON.

MOUNT PLEASANT CHURCH IS SEARCHING FOR A PIANIST FOR SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP AND A REHEARSAL TIME DURING THE WEEK. WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER “TECHY” TO WORK WITH THE MEDIA EQUIPMENT. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED OR KNOWS ANYONE PLEASE CALL PASTOR JOHN, DORIS DANILOFF OR JOAN THOMAS.
