A King's Ransom
This Sunday, April 14, 2019, Palm/PassionSunday, at 9:30 a.m.,Pastor Mitchell will bring the message “A King’s Ransom,” based on Luke 22:14—23:49. Joan Thomas will be our Worship Leader and song Leader. Jane Chambers will be reading the Gospel with Pastor Mitchell. Our pianist will be Aaron Benfer. Our facility is handicapped accessible and seasonably air conditioned.
The United Methodist Churches will gather for a Holy Thursday Communion Service on April 18, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First UMC at 2ndand Pine Streets.
The Bible study time,Wednesdays in room (#3/4) on the lower level at 11 a.m., with the study of the Gospel of John is suspended through April. The study will resume on May 1.
Our District Superintendent, The Rev. Glenn Conaway, will preside over an important time of fellowship and sharing. Concerns over where the United Methodist church will be in the next 10 years will be lifted up at this time. Please pray about these concerns.
THIS ACTIVITY HAS POSTPONED FROM MAR. 31, UNTIL AFTER EASTER PER THE D.S. AND WILL BE ONLY THE PASTORS AND DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH CHURCH, ALONG WITH THE INCOMING PASTOR OF 1STUMC, TOM STARK. IT WILL BE ON SUNDAY, APRIL 28,AT 6 P.M., HERE AT MOUNT PLEASANT CHURCH IN ROOM #6.
The dates of this year’s Wednesday evening Lenten Services are at 7 p. m. and at the following locations:
April 10 – Rev. David Weldon at West Side United Methodist
A time of refreshments and fellowship will follow each service. The services support the ministry of Help and Hope.

THERE IS ALSO A SECOND BOX UNDER THE BULLETIN BOARD IN THE HOSPITALITY AREA, for contributions to the BLESSING BAGS which will be assembled by the Stitch Club.
